I've been having fun redesigning the gardens this month!

Bougainvillas are blooming and all the summer flowers are starting to bud.  Love this time of year! For the snake lover! Winter Park lakeside

Flowers in April

Lovely showers and cool weather means those winter flowering plants will produce a little longer for us. Here's a lovely basket of New Guinea impatients, red Pentas and lime green Lysmachia.  Succulents and Amaryllis are nice spring additions! And April is the perfect month to plant those sunflower seeds!

Flowers in March

BEFORE Right Side Cold nights and warm days here in March.  These pots were a challenge as they get little direct sun but the owner wanted lots of color. So I used Gerber Daisies, Blue Delphiniums, New Guinea impatients,  Chocolate Ajuga, Limelight Geraniums, Kalanchoes and good old Mother In Law's tongue, aka Sanseveria. I think it's a little more cheerful now!  Check out the photos below: A FTER Right Side AFTER Left Side BEFORE Left Side

Great Gift Ideas So my friend emailed that she needed a hostess gift for dinner. The new house was brown, blue and yellow.  This was what I emailed back to her. She loved being able to shop from work!  :  )   Petunias love the cool weather of Florida in the winter.  This was a small 4" annual planted in December.

Now is a perfect time to get your raised beds built and started.  I've even planted cool weather crops this past week between Christmas and New Year's.  So get going if you want to be ready for the spring garden planting in the next month! Fresh Green Beans Fresh green beans from the garden have ten times the flavor of those in the grocery store and way more nutritional value if you harvest right before you cook them.  Broccoli, Basil, Spinach, Cilantro, Lettuce and Mint Enjoying all of these in my salads this January!
